Derrick Kenan has 3 decades of Law Enforcement experience in which he has performed in many capacities including patrol, Investigations and supervisory leadership. He has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Howard University and a master’s in public administration from Marist College.

Derrick is certified as an instructor with the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services. He has served as the President of the New York State Police Guardians and is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. He believes he has a purpose of service, uplift and community advocacy.

Derrick has competed in numerous sports and still competes in Martial Arts. He is the father of three Children: Ericka (Registered Nurse), Derrick Jr. (New York State Trooper) and Donovan (New York State Trooper).
